The Garage and Workshop of Mr. P. H. Shaw, Heretaunga St., Petone.

Keeping transport moving, is the service Mr. P. H. Shaw renders to Petone and surrounding community.
Mr. Shaw is yet another Petone citizen who has made good and who, by honest, reliable service has built up a business which is a credit to his town.
Mr. Shaw was educated at the Petone West School, served his apprenticeship and qualified as an engineer at the railway workshops, then situated in Petone.
He determined to establish a business for himself, and so in 1927, commenced in a very small way as a motor engineer in a garage which would hold one car. By constant attention to the needs of the motoring public and owners of trade vehicles, and by building a reputation for honest and expert service he was enabled to erect, in 1930, the present commodious garage in Heretaunga Street, and at present has a trained staff of seven.
One of the secrets of Mr. Shaw's success is his personal supervision of every job—large or small—which is placed in his hands.
