How to use this website

If you’re unsure how to get the most out of this site, here are a few ideas that may help you.

How can I view articles?

There are several ways to view and read the front-matter, sections, illustrations, back-matter and other material contained in each of the texts.

You can:

  • Read the contents or view images of the original printed pages of a particular text.
  • Read transcripts of sections which contain links to scanned images of the original printed page. In this mode you can navigate through an entire text.
  • View illustrations that have been separated out from the text. In this mode you can also view all the illustrations in a particular section one after the other.
  • View a large version of each illustration by double clicking the image itself.
